Natrinai from Sangam Anthologies Bharatanatyam by Suhasini Koulagi premiered at NARADA GANA SABHA on


Natarinai is a part of the Sangam anthology, Natrinai is placed in a Neythal Thinnai which means the 'Seashore'. Here Suhasini has chosen to perform a poem where an affluent young man from the city approaches a fisher girl asking to convince her beautiful friend to marry him. When he meets, she says that his dream is unrealistic and compares his urban life to the life of fisherfolk.

She explains how strong and happy her tribe is being with the sea. She notifies him there are many young people in her own tribe who are handsome, courageous, and can provide her friend a better life.

Finally, she asks him to go away and forget her friend.
