Suhasini Koulagi
Suhasini Koulagi was born at Melkote, the renowned temple town in southern Karnataka. Pursuing Bharatanātya from early childhood, Suhasini is today a growing influence among a galaxy of established Gurus of Bharatanātya. She has completed Post graduation in Bharatanātya as well as been certified by the Bharatanātya Vidwat examination conducted by Karnataka Government. Dr Sheela Sridhar of Mysore and well-known dance duo Dr Sridhar and Smt. Anuradha Sridhar of Bangalore were her gurus.
In her dance journey of 2 decades, Suhasini has performed Bharatanatyam on various reputed stages in Karnataka. She has played an important role for a couple of years in a famous sound and light programme in Hampi Utsava. Performances at the Dasara Utsava in Mysore , Krishna Mutt Udupi and Beluru are noteworthy. She has performed in Srilanka and Dubai as part of the youth cultural team. By recognising her talent Narada Gana Sabha Chennai honoured her by inviting her to perform at the ‘Natyarangam’ monthly concert, a reputed platform for upcoming, young and committed dancers from India.
Suhasini’s social and environmental activism through Bharatanatyam, is well recorded by now.. Her effort to draw attention to the pollution of Bangalore city through the Poromboke song of renowned singer T M Krishna is quite popular. Presently Suhasini is under the mentorship of eminent dance guru Vid. Karuna Sagari of Coimbatore and is understanding the organic pedagogy of Bharatnatyam.

ಸುಹಾಸಿನಿ ಕೌಲಗಿ
ಬಹಳ ಸಣ್ಣ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೇ ನೃತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಲಿದ ಸುಹಾಸಿನಿ ನೃತ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ನರ್ತಕಿ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನೃತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನೂ, ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಸಮರ್ಥ ನೃತ್ಯ ಗುರು ಡಾ.ಶೀಲಾ ಶ್ರೀಧರ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ವರ್ಷ ನೃತ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿ ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ನಂತರ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ನೃತ್ಯ ದಂಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ.ಶ್ರೀಧರ ಮತ್ತು ವಿ.ಅನುರಾಧ ಶ್ರೀಧರ ಅವರಿಂದ ನರ್ತಕಿಯಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ರೂಪಗೊಂಡರು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಎರಡು ದಶಕದ ನೃತ್ಯಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಹಾಸಿನಿಯವರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹಲವಾರು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ವೇದಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ಹಂಪಿ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಧ್ವನಿ-ಬೆಳಕು ನೃತ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರವೊಂದನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ದಸರಾ, ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠ ಉಡುಪಿ, ಬೇಲೂರು, ಕೆಲವು ಹೆಸರಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು. ಯುವ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ತಂಡದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾ ಮತ್ತು ದುಬೈ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಹ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಚೆನೈನ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ನಾರದ ಗಾನ ಸಭಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯವರ 'ನಾಟ್ಯರಂಗಂ' ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ವೇದಿಕೆಯು ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಯುವ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೆ ಒದಿಗಿಸುವ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನರ್ತಿಸುವುದು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಕನಸಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಪರಿಸರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾಳಜಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಸುಹಾಸಿನಿ ತಮಗೆ ದೊರೆಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನೂ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವಾದ ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಿಸರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದ ಜ್ವಲಂತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಜನರ ಮುಂದಿಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಖ್ಯಾತ ಹಾಡುಗಾರ ಟಿ.ಎಂ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವರ ಪೊರಂಬೋಕೆ ಹಾಡಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಲು ಮಾಡಿದ ನೃತ್ಯ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸದ್ಯ ಸುಹಾಸಿನಿಯವರು ಕೊಯಮತ್ತೂರಿನ ವಿದುಷಿ ಕರುಣಸಾಗರಿ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೃತ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಅದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೃತ್ಯ ಬೋಧನೆಯ ವಿವಿಧ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರಿಂದ ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
